Cat’s Life Stages

Baby Nose_edited-1

As a general rule, this is the current standard, though there is always quite a lot of debate. Generally, cats live between 12 to 18 years, it is not uncommon for indoor only cats to live 20 years or more. (Feral cats only live 3 to 4 years.) If your cat divides his time between the home and the outdoors, he will probably fall somewhere between 3 or 4 years to 10 years.

Kitten – runs from birth to 6 months

Junior – runs approximately from 7 months to 2 years (this is your cat’s adolescence stage where he can reproduce)

Prime – runs from 3 years to 6 years

Mature – runs from7 to 10 years

Senior – 11 to 14 years

Geriatric – 15 years and beyond
