Beagles have sleek, short, dense coats that require an occasional brushing and a wipe down with a damp cloth. Clean your Beagle’s ears regularly to avoid infections.
Beagles are playful, good natured and sociable. They love children, they love other dogs and they love to see you at the end of the day. They also love to chase (not so good at exercise time). They love to explore (not necessarily a good things at exercise time). They love to eat (guard against this as you don’t want an overweight Beagle).
Obedience training may not be a bad idea, a stubborn Beagle isn’t easy to live with. Young puppies love to chew. Beagles tend to bark at strangers and are territorial. Beagles like to roam, dig and climb. A secure fence is definitely in order to ensure his safety.
